The St Mary’s Nursing Center Foundation is a non-profit corporation created to receive, hold, and disburse charitable contributions for projects to benefit Nursing Center residents. Its members are made up of interested citizens of the community.
These are but a few examples of the Foundations’ efforts on behalf of the Nursing Center: - purchased materials for the resident activities program
- purchased two sets of electric doors for the Nursing Center courtyard, so that residents could use that space with little or no staff assistance
- provided residents with the Companion Radio System
- provided Wheelchair Accessible Whisper Glide Swing in the courtyard
- provided Electrocardiogram (EKG) machines
- provided Automatic Electronic Defibrillators (AED) machines,
- provided funds towards the purchase of a handicap, lift equipped van and buses for resident transports to appointments and outings
- provided a new Bingo machine
