    Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Geriatric Nursing Assistant will be responsible for giving direct care to promote the residents’ safety and comfort, while recognizing their needs and rights. Successful candidates must be dependable, compassionate, have good time management and communication skills, and have a desire to work with the elderly. Requirements also include CPR certification and a current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification.     Admissions Coordinator

    Description St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Inc., a 180-bed long-term care and rehabilitation facility in historic Leonardtown, Maryland, has an immediate need for an Admissions Coordinator. The successful candidate will have an LPN or RN license (RN preferred) and have long-term care experience, preferably as an Admissions Coordinator. This person will be responsible for coordinating the timely admission of all Residents into St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Inc. and will serve as the primary point of contact regarding all aspects of the admissions process, collaborating with Nursing, A/R, Social Work, Rehabilitation, the Physician and the Dietitian to coordinate care and services for residents.
    Required Skills Solid knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid is required. Should also possess a general knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care administration. Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and public relations skills required.
    Certifications / Licenses LPN or RN (preferred).
    Schedule Hours - Variable, as needed by the Center to cover the Admissions Office. Core hours from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Competitive salary. Equal Opportunity Employer.
