Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Geriatric Nursing Assistant will be responsible for giving direct care to promote the residents’ safety and comfort, while recognizing their needs and rights. Successful candidates must be dependable, compassionate, have good time management and communication skills, and have a desire to work with the elderly. Requirements also include CPR certification and a current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CMA will prepare and administer medications as ordered by the attending physician, as well as give direct care to promote the residents’ safety and comfort. Channel Your Talents. St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Inc.has an immediate need for an Admissions Coordinator. This is a full-time, extremely fast-paced position for an energetic self starter. As a member of our administrative team, the Admissions Coordinator has responsibility for coordinating the timely admission of all Residents into St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Inc. This person serves as the primary point of contact regarding all aspects of the admissions process and collaborates with Nursing, A/R, Social Work, Rehabilitation, the Physician and the Dietitian to coordinate care and services for the Resident. |
| Required Skills |
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a healthcare-related field, or equivalent experience in long-term care in lieu of degree. Solid knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid is required. Should also possess a general knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care administration. Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and public relations skills required. |
